There are several explanations for what the letter G symbolizes for the Freemasons. ,The explanations that exist depend on the level of knowledge the person has, depending on the degree they have achieved.
These different explanations could be that g means god (not the god of the bible), geometry, gnosis, genesis or creation.
G: Genesis, symbolizes creation and has connections to mundane eggs. Because G is a symbol for the creation when everything came into being or as they call it today the big bang. Then the universe and everything was created or the origin of Genesis.
Compass: is actually an upward pointing triangle that symbolizes the good. With the color red or white.
Square: symbolizes a downward pointing triangle which in turn is evil.
Together, these Square and Compass are the hexagram symbol often used in magic.
